GALEP Galt Horse Assisted Learning & Enrichment Program
Since 2009 GALEP has been serving the children of Galt and the surrounding area with activities designed to encourage learning and acheivement through the wonderful creature, the horse.
Thanks to grants, volunteer power and other community donations the program has experienced steady growth. Today, the GALEP program provides horsemastership and equine assisted therapy to more than 200 students each month during the school year.
The GALEP facility is located on the McCaffrey Middle School campus 997 Park Terrace Drive in Galt and includes all of the basic components of a therapeutic riding program: arena, staging area for horses, tack storage, handicap ramp, and safety equipment for students. GALEP also travels to other schools in the Galt Elementary School District to provide hands on horse activities.
